Independence Day Reflections from July 4, 2010
God bless each of us, our families, and our nation as we celebrate this special day. I hope you'll consider doing the following as part of your July 4 Independence Day celebrations today and in the future.
- Fly our flag! It flies every day at our home, and will the rest of my life.
- Start the day with a prayer and the pledge. In our small Iowa farm community school our day started with the Lord's Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance. I lost that daily habit in the decades along the way. I've recently committed myself to put it back in place. Seems to me to be a good way to get each day started and focused on purposes above self.
- Take time to read this excellent document written by Rush Limbaugh's father called "The Americans Who Risked Everything", about the signers of the Declaration of Independence, as shared with us by Rush on his website and in other places for years now.

Each rereading of these documents serves to remind this citizen that there's a need for an ongoing "revolutionary" mindset. Millions more citizens must be awakened and become much more involved in candidate selection and election processes, and true "government cleanup" at all levels. And we must never cease in our attention to these matters for the rest of our lives.
Surely by now millions of us are painfully aware that our country is currently under deadly attack from within and without on many fronts. And that those demand our action if this republic is to survive another 20 years, let alone another 234!
As I reread the Declaration I was struck by how many of the abuses by King George that are listed in the Declaration apply to the current tyrant and usurper who occupies our highest elected office and our White House - Barack Barry Hussein Obama Soetoro - our reigning Supreme Sociotonian.
Consider the following examples and see how many others you can find:
"He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good."
Surely by now millions of us are painfully aware that our country is currently under deadly attack from within and without on many fronts. And that those demand our action if this republic is to survive another 20 years, let alone another 234!

- Obama was never eligible to run for President!

- Obama has failed to provide transparent access to basic records that are required by all in our government who seek highest levels of security clearance.

Yet despite these open unlawful actions by our highest sitting officer, name ANY top political or media leader who has openly and consistently demanded immediate correct lawful, legal action to end Obama's usurpation.
Then ask yourself if there's any acceptable "why?" for their inaction given the enormity of this offense by Obama and all who enabled him.
Next, ask yourself why "we the people" have not arisen in a multitude of states across this land to demand that this blatant lawlessness by Obama and his behind the scenes puppet masters be lawfully, legally ended...NOW!
- As another glaring example, Obama has consistently prevented enforcing existing immigration and border defense laws. Examine and remember his actions to sue states like Arizona that do, and actions he took to set other states against them.
Consider his ongoing actions to give legal status to past illegal entrants...to greatly enlarge his block of "dependent serf" voters. Then balance that with the deafening silence from the current majority of our leaders, and "we the people" about this failure to follow our existing laws and protect our borders.
Remember all that as we look forward to elections later this year.
"He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures."
- E.g. The despicable actions by Obama, Pelosi,Reid et al to ram enormous,convoluted, unconstitutional bills like "Healthscare" and others into law...without any of Obama's promised transparency for opposing lawmakers and citizens.
"He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance."
- Too numerous to list...but consider all Obama's business takeovers, appointed czars and councils, union connections and interference with proper government operation as a starter list.
Then ask yourself if there's any acceptable "why?" for their inaction given the enormity of this offense by Obama and all who enabled him.

- His steady stream of demonstrated actions has escalated the decades old Muslim infiltration actions as they attempt to spread Sharia law into all aspects of our lives, and give it supremacy over our Constitution.
- And, Obama has clearly enabled the Islamic attack against Israel. Obama's actions in this arena constitute a clear threat to our Constitution and nation. He has consistently failed to comply with his oath to defend our Constitution and nation.
"For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States"
- Consider the attempts by him and his Justice Department to shut down Gitmo, and try the 9/11 terrorists in civil courts.
- Consider his delays and lack of priority for prosecution of the Ft. Hood, Christmas Day, and NYC taxi bomber terrorists; and his actions to cleanse of the terms "Muslim terrorist" from our dialogue.
- Consider his failure to crush the drug lords who have occupied OUR land along our border, and his actions to chastise and sue and punish those states who act to correctly defend our nation.
"For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent":
- Too numerous to mention, but Obama's true legacy includes taxes that will hit us from the Healthscare legislation, his coming reversal of the Bush tax cuts, pending efforts on "Cap, Tax, and Redistribute", the hidden tax and consumer costs buried in the "Frank N Dodd Financial Fiasco", and attempts to impose an Internet sales tax!
-His most egregious impact in this arena is the massive unfunded and unaccounted debt that he and his horde have left for all future generations of Americans.
"He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us."
- Consider all his previously mentioned failures to protect our borders from drug wars, and all illegal invaders and the multiple forms of "national cancers" that problem spreads.
- Never forget his ongoing efforts to further open the borders and give amnesty and taxpayer funded "benefits" to all who have previously illegally invaded our nation.
- And consider his strong leanings to drive us toward world government control through the United Nations and other similar insidious groups.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
Fellow citizens, this citizen is convinced we're far off our intended course as a nation and are now racing at breakneck speed AWAY from our intended excellence. We've allowed the valiant efforts of millions of countrymen before us to be squandered and badly contaminated.
I've been as guilty as any out there in many past years of indifference and inattention. So, I've devoted the past several years of my life sharing thoughts on what we must do via my book and this commentary blog; and through work with any and all groups of people of like mind that I've found along the way.
And I stand ready in my remaining time on earth to work side by side with any and all out there with common purpose. But I am totally convinced that the key to our success is to find true right leaders of the caliber of our Founding Father's and support them with a permanent American revolutionary spirit.
So let's get to work! Who are the true right leaders as I define them in my book? And how will you and I find them in the toxic media stew of pestilence, perversion, and prevarication that is predominant throughout the world today?
We have much work to do in the upcoming election, and for the rest of our time on earth. May God bless and guide us in our efforts.
-Obama is the son of a Muslim, and was raised in a Muslim country by a Muslim stepfather.
